DEAD:
In order to develop MNO Chicago, I used the band directory at Nitelife.org to find like-minded musicians. In order to cultivate the email addresses I used for contacting, I went to each and every website listed in the band directory. This is considered due diligence. In a cause, the idea is to complete the task to it's conclusion, thus performing due diligence. And in this case, the need was for an email address. And in performing due diligence, I discovered more.
For a comment noting "no new shows for 2009", this does not necessarily mean the band is dead. But for a cover band it means there is consideration to think the band IS dead.
For a comment noting "no way to contact", there is no email address available to contact the band (Typically the webmaster is NOT the band.) OR the website given is a MySpace site which requires you to obtain an account in order to make contact.
For a comment noting "dead" means the link does not connect. OR when you go to the link it is a "parking lot" (A parking lot is a website placeholder). OR the band has actually noted that the band no longer exists.
